About Sekayi
The long and short of it is — I am devoted to creating beautiful, meaningful, and impactful things.
Things that improve livelihoods and help us connect.
Over the years, I’ve done this in many forms — as an art director and fashion business founder, an innovation manager, and now as a management and partnerships leader working at the intersection of design, systems thinking, and social impact.
Today, I serve as Head of Services, Partnerships and Innovation at WATER FOR WATER (WfW), an international non-profit advancing equitable access to safe water through sustainable business models. My work focuses on designing circular solutions, developing partnerships that enable systemic change, and supporting our teams across Zambia, Mozambique, and Switzerland to build long-term value.
Beyond WfW, I sit on the Board of People’s Action Forum (PAF) — an organisation founded by my grandmother to champion education, gender equality, and human rights in Zambia. I also serve as an official nominator for The Earthshot Prize, helping surface African innovations with global potential.
My career bridges private-sector rigour with purpose-driven transformation, from co-founding MaFashio — Zambia’s first street-style platform — to leading innovation at BongoHive Consult and now, working longside some talented and dedicated people, driving value creation within the WASH sector. I thrive where creativity meets systems thinking — whether reimagining how partnerships fuel inclusive growth, designing human-centred sustainability services, or nurturing the next generation of African innovators.
Fuelled by curiosity and grounded in devotion, I am committed to building not just solutions but ecosystems where innovation, equity, and human connection thrive.
